I've got a great imperial dragon knocking about and in good condition.
Any idea what this is worth!?!?

I would love to chop it up for a winged demon prince but if it is worth a small fortune I shouldn't, should I?

Oh that model is a beauty! It would be such a shame to cut it up. I'm sure you could get a pretty penny for it.

I've no idea of velue, but it's probably enough that you could buy a dozen pairs of wings with the money from it. Cutting it up is madness. It's going to be rare so let someone else build it would be my philosophy.

Try the Citadel collectors group.

You'll get a fair price for it there or you can eBay it, but a private sale might be better as people just aren't expecting things like this to appear on eBay.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I have the Emperor Dragon from a few pages earlier in the catalogue.

It is even bigger than the Great Imperial dragon, I would not cut this up for any conversion. I wont even cut it to make a Star Dragon, any conversion to do so will leave the model intact and mold the saddle to fit the back (with green stuff).
Besides this dragon is so big the lance my Elf Prince carries could not possibly reach any ground target.

I use the Large Fire Dragon here as my Sun Dragon:

This miniture I did convert by replacing the ity bity wings from the old school meal Imrik.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

The Chicken Dragon, so named because that's roughly how big it is, is worth over £1000 boxed. It's the green coloured dragon on the cover of the 1983 catalogue. AFAIK, it's the singularly most valuable citadel model ever.

Thanks for the help guys, It wasn't just the wings I was after, I quite fancied the head aswell. It's really gnarled and would be awesome.
I am however not made of money(despite what the GF thinks )
I think i'll try the Citadel collectors group or hold onto it a little longer.

Also would a pro build/ paintjob increase or decrease the value? It seems a shame for it to be sat in storage+ I'd rather show it off!

Not to the collectors. Best left well alone if you want t good price, especially if you have the box.

got any pics for scale? (pun not intended) and how much?

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.
