at first i thought this wasent possible.
but a quick skim through the dex and i couldent find anything about saying that they couldent ride in a fish.
if i remember right, in the old dex it said that a model equiped in a battle suit could not ride in a transport. but i couldent find it in the new dex.
i am getting ideas of running fish protected suits up, hopping out and blasting away with BS 5 (markerlgihts) plasma and other various goodies..... ooooo immigian the farsight 7 suit body guard doing this
my gut tells me that there is something in the dex that says i cant... and i dont think the skimming the 8 crisis suits up in a fish is a really good idea. but i can just immigan the look on peoples faces when i tell them that farsight and his 7 crisis suits are hopping out of that fish.
i am really thinking more along the lines of keeping some ASS broadsides in it.

Only infantry can ride in transports (absent a special rule) and Crisis suits are Jetpack units, not infantry.
Sorry.

Check the codex again carefully. Somewhere in there it states you cant. And imagine that fish being blown up on the way, forcing lots of wounds on your farsight unit..

BGB pg 66, left column, 5th paragraph:
Only infantry models may embark in transports (it is worth specifying that this does not include Jump Infantry)...
Suits are classified as "Jump Infantry" in the Tau Dex, so no.

Try the main rulebook transport section re who can ride. Note that it specifically excludes jump infantry.............

Funny, all of us scrambling through the BGB when it clearly states it in his own codex. lol
Is this the part where we call Eny89 a "Beardy Noob"?

ah yes.. i was looking under the suit entry. i just assumed that a transport would follow the rules for a transport.
this dose bring up some interesting team game ideas though.... funny thought of a land raider rumbeling up the battle field at guardsmen peeing thier pants. the door slam down to reveal DUN DUN DUNNNNNN broadsides *Railgun to face*

why would broadsides need transport? Aren't their guns like a billion inches in range??

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.
