it was stated that you wanted to create a vietnam styled force, if you wanted to do that i would drop the heavy armour as that wasn't genrally used in the vietnam war, particualy jungle fights

On the contrary, tanks and heavy equpment were used in defensive positions, just not in offense.
A jungle fighters army that had time could move or airdrop in heavy tanks or artillery for support.
