Army Points: 749

Victory Points: 22

Name Cost VP
Skarre, Queen of the Broken Coast 74 5
Leviathan 125 3
Deathjack 154 4
Satyxis Raiders (10/10) 104 2
Soulhunters (5/5) 128 3
Darragh Wrathe 67 2
Sea Witch (undefined 21 1
Deathripper 38 1
Deathripper 38 1

This set up lets me try all the new stuff I haven't used yet. The two arc nodes and DJ help
me get Black Spot where I want it. Soul Hunters with ARM buff will be nice. And overall the
list gives me three potential spell threats on the table with five angles to get at targets:

Darragh, two arc nodes, DJ and eSkarre.

Looks good.

Personally, I really like Pistol Wraiths with eSkarre, but they're not necessary. So far, eSkarre has been my goof-off "Lets play pirates, ARRGH!" warcaster. Black Ogrun, Satyxis, Revenants, you get the picture. But she can definitely be competitive if done right.

I have not ever used the Soul Hunters, but with Darragh, Black Spot, and Death Ward they should be really deadly.

Seas of Fate with a bonded Levi and the Deathjack should be lots of fun and really efficient.

Cool, glad to know that "stuff I like" does not necessarily cancel out effectiveness.

I have really struggled getting good use out of the leviathan for it's points. LMK how you do with it. Both Skarres are brutal with Tartarus and Bane Knights but thats a given. I would probably swap the leviathan for Banes and Tatersauce.

Would you just give up on the warjack bond, then?

Yeah, whats one extra focus going to do above and beyond three and seas of fate cast?

I like holding the Leviathan back a bit and firing over my advancing force. It's great range means that you can often aim with it, and Skarre's bond means that you can put a lot of hits on an enemy Warjack in exactly the right place. You can even have Skarre activate first and Ram the Levi into position if you need to, without giving up the ability to aim.

I like to allocate four focus to it each turn. Remember that with Precognition, Skarre can pull those focus back off at any time if you decide you need them for something else. Also, keep Seas of Fate up if at all possible. The savings on unnecessary boosts is fantastic.

Aiming at a Black Spotted unit is fantastic too. With a little luck, the Leviathan can wipe out a good chunk of a unit on its own, though the Harrower is generally better for this type of work.

The best part though is when your opponent, being used to the Leviathan's shooting prowess, gets a little too close and the Leviathan gets to charge in with it's crushing claw. That thing is sweet.

On the other hand, there is rarely a time when BKs and BLT would not be useful. You could always take both!

It's not that. I'm thinking of the allocation mattering.

Shut down a warjack's movement at will, or its arc node. Target a single weapon
warjack and make sure its fancy dancy most useful ability is gone.

Deathjack alone will wreck anything it hits and with her spell that allows it to move away without free strikes keeps it pretty safe in most situations. Point for point the knights will usually cause more damage even to a jack. Both Epic and regular in my expereince support infantry rather well. I actually prefer regular Skarre myself. The Canker Worm also has good synergy with her also.

But regular Skarre doesn't have a gun!

I guess I get attracted to specific characters and want to make them work rather
than get drawn to the best of the best.

No she has a Bomb with a 19' threat range. Most of our Cryx players think E-Skarre is the way to go and think reg Skarre is to limited but I just get all warm and fuzzy when I run her and win the attrition war (even against troll bricks) but I hear what your saying about preferences.
