Dont need 2 HQ's, but its good to have 2.

i would drop the kanz, cut the price on the boss a bit and get him some biker boyz to ride with. (5+ if possible)

kanz in this set up is pretty darn good

true, but 5 bikes get you 15 S5 shots, plus 3 more from the boss, they can then get him close to any vehicles that need killing since he is the only mobile anti-tank.

Never underestimate the power of 15 lootas...

I played in a mini tourney at Warhammer world on sunday.
They'll do wonders for you and it's good to have them fearless for their first few casualties.

I ran a Big Mek with KFF n Eavy armour.

It's fast and the KFF riding with the Trukk's means they are well protected.

The thing is, this is only 1k points, so space is tight. I am thinking of swapping out the Kans for Bikers. I should be able to get almost 4 out of that cost, which is good. 2 HQs isn't bad when one of them gives such a huge perk. I might cut the armor and cybork from the Big Mek, since he is mostly there just for the KFF. That frees a few more points to get an additional biker, putting it up to 5.

I will see about trying to bump up the Lootas to 15, but that is a stretch unless I go up to 1500 points, which I may do.

I got 15 lootas in 1000pts. It's tight but worth it. The main thing to remember with Orks is numbers. You need high numbers in each unit to make them perform or they'll just run away when shot at.

Playtest it a bit to see what fits you though.

That list JD21290 is both very well constructed and asking to piss people off

lol, it has scoring units, and enough shots to beat even tau in a fire fight

Keep the Kans. Grotzookas shred and the Kans will mush any vehicle they get near.
