Hey. I was curious about the 3 biomorphs. When do people actually put these on their fexes? I personally like all 3 but its a bit of a point sink (60 pts extra per fex...as well as all the other mandatory stuff you have to give them). I currently have a fex that has just about every cc biomorph there is as well as these and he does pretty well (although I HAVE to put all that crap on him just because I need to or i dont have a 1000 pt army...that all changes at the end of this month. hahaha)

anyway, just asking for advice...it seems to me that no-one likes to upgrade their fexes too much because if you save yourself the points on upgrades you can actually add another fex to the list. I second that opinion...but it would be nice to have a cc monster who has T7 5 wounds and a 2+ armour save. Opinions???

i used to run a 6 fex list including monster fex.

he had:

extended carapce, bonded exo-skeleton, reinforced chichin, acid maw, tusked, bio plasma, regenerate, toxin sacs, both adrenal glands, thornback, scythe tail, talons, crushing claws, symbiote rippers and toxin miasma (?)

i dont think i missed anything, all in all he was fully kitted out with as much as i could give him.
he tended to run about the battle field each game attacking anything that was a serious threat.
i could charge him at 4 heavy bolters and not have to worry that he was going to die.
i also found it scares alot of people into shooting as much as they can at it.

me to. I have what i call uberfex. lots of cc upgrades. I found that he was able to take out vast quantities of orks without them even being able to even touch him. My opponent got smart though. He started to always leave the fex alone and go for my tyrant. Except for 1 large mob of boys who sole purpose was to engage him and waste his time. Now I see the purpose of a tough fex but not so much so that he never makes his points back. Anyone else?

mine allways earned his points back, usually starting or ending with blowing up a LR.

taking a flyrant with 2 dev's helps alot
another nice target for an opponent, but able to fire 8 S6 shots that re-roll to hit and to wound due to twin linked and the living ammo rule.
