OK, I keep having this idea about an Ork army, partially because I have all these army ideas that involve shoota boys, but I have 38 slugga boys from Black reach (I traded my SMs for another set of Orks)

I'm not possitive on the points but I think this is 1747.

111 Boyz, 8 Nobz with PKs, and a Warboss all flying across the table at breakneck speeds. I could get more slugga boyz for as cheap as possible and make my own rokkit packs for them out of sharpie caps, shell casings, and anything else I can get my hands on. IS this a viable army, or will it die horribly?

i would combine some of those slugga boyz if you can into bigger groups

Its not easy to stop 6 Trukks in one round of shooting, while the Stormboyz go for the opponent's throat. I'd give it a try. It may struggle vs Nids; not sure.

This option appeals to me more than the mek army I outlined in another post for some reason. I did finally visit the local game store and they usually play 1000 pt lists. So I'm trying to come up with a 1000 pt army like this to start with. Here are two options

You could drop a claw off one unit, give him a big choppa, then drop the storm boys, and get 2 more trukks of guys.
