where?

right then. Looking at the "head-on" view

Bottom Left Gun - Plastic fusion doodah from Tau Crisis suit ( I used a crisis commander)

Top Left Gun - Airburst Cannon from Tau Crisis Commander

Top Right Gun - Shooty end of an Eldar Scatter Laser (cut down to about 2cm length) + Multi Melta fuel barrel bits from a landspeeder.

Bottom Right Gun - no work, straight up servo arm bit.

all attached to the regular servo harness. I forgot to take a rear view pick as the harness needs to be cut down to fit on the bike.

the rider is:

1 pair Dark angel rider legs + tank commander plastics from any marine tank + Techmarine Right arm.

yep pretty much. Since conversion beamers are OLD tech, I went for a technologically advanced pre Dark Age weapon. which the Tau stuff serves a perfect purpose for.

Minor note, the bottom left gun is a plasma rifle, not a fusion blaster.

uh, not to burst your bubble, as it is a very nice model, but Conversion beamer replaces the Master of the Forge's Servo-harness...

Which is why he removed the additional weapons a full harness gives you and left only the original Servo-Arm.

@Feor - what Aduro said. The original plan was to make it an attack bike, but techmarines just look rubbish without their traditional servo look. I went for a harness mounted Conversion Beamer instead.

@Alex - Damn straight. I love the colour scheme and the lack of any sort of fluff leaves me open to do pretyy much what I want with them. I'm leaning towards an Arthurian type feel. Quartered colours and Gryphon herladry and what have you - very knightly.

@Warpcrafter - Howling Griffons fear not the inquisition, we've already killed 1 inquisitor

Nice conversion! Can't wait to see the finished paint job.

MotF does not have a single/separate Servo-Arm to retain, he only starts with a whole Harness and replaces the complete rig for the Beamer (unless they FAQ this). Then again, none of the arms on the conversion are actually a Servo-Arm since the bottom right arm is the Plasma Cutter from the Harness.

(THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK)

I'm considering doing something similar with my Master of the Forge. Though I had the idea to place him on an attack bike as the gunner with a servitor as the driver. Good to know someone else will be putting theirs on a bike too, I was starting to think I was a crackpot.

Oh, d'you think it'd be possible to have your MotF manning a Thuderfire cannon?

it's just too easy a step to ignore.

Conversion Beamer is a heavy weapon... needs to be at long range... bike gets you 12" move.. is relentless..... GENIUS!!!

and no your MotF cannot man a TFC

This is a work in progress of the one I'm just about finished with (more progress after pic):

One of these days I'll actually finish it and paint it up.

Hmmm... The unit info has him listed as having both a Servo-harness and a Servo-arm, but the army list in the back only lists to the Servo-harness.

You're thinking of one of those OTHER websites...

OP:
Praise - It seems to be some nice, original conversion work. I like the creativity in the whole thing.

Criticism - He's the Master of the Forge. There's this forge, see, and they make war stuff there. This guy is the MASTER of the place. Why is he using alien tech then? I think you should have scratch-built the weapons. If not, then they should be so heavily converted that they mask the origins. As it is now, that's just a scatter laser stuck on the end of something. It's not even flush.

Nitpicky - I hate when people flock the sides of bases.

The MotF uses the rules for the Servo-Arm for the Servo-Harness, GW is just lazy/badly organized when it comes to placing rules/wargear info smoothly.

Edit: I am doing my MotF with just the Harness and a PS/BP combo on bike. I might make up one with a Beamer Bike later, I like the Attack Bike idea for it. I know if I can get a hold of the original style CSM Beamer, I will make a foot version of the MotF.

Ok, freaky rules questions popping up in the modeling forums, but...

"Servo-harness: A servo harness gives the Techmarine an extra servo-arm (giving him two servo-arm attacks), ect ect ect"

Now what about the Master of the Forge? If he doesn't have the base Servo-arm, does that mean his "extra Servo-arm" is his only Servo-arm, as the rules for the harness don't specify that it includes two, with the exception of the normal Techmarine?
