I did this guy for a friend recently and just got round to posting it. My camera work still needs improvement for sur, too much light and not enough in some shots I just could not get it right but you can get the jist. I started with the white/yellow over white primer and worked outwards, this took for ever! Wont be doing that again. Not to mention I have never done anything this "scale" before. Closest thing would have to be the blood thirster and that was 10 years ago. Lots of weird porous spaces in this guy that did strange things to my paint plans, like oh trying to blend colors on coral maybe?!Some times I think dry brushing him would have been the better way to go. I learned alot along the way and am happy with the finished product. Just wanted to share.

Looks good!

The hair is the same colour as the skirt as the same colour as the gauntlets and that bugs me a bit. It looks kinda unfinished because of that!

The fire/flame/lava effect looks great!

Great job on the model. I was looking at the unpainted one on the FW site the other day, and coral was the exact same thing I came up with also for its texture.

Maybe add some eldar symbols on the cloth?

yeah this done and gone a few weeks now, I left the symbol off as he has yet to decide a craft world. Like I said better lighting would have helped , the gauntlets are a silver steel color much like his horns and definately not black. The hair is flat dusty black and the cloth is a shimmery black with satin glosses over it. Its a bit different lookin in person. Ah well....

this might help.

That photo is much much better.

Perhaps it's one of those, "guess you had to be there?" models?

More, "you have to learn to take better pictures" models, I think.

I might have to see about borrowing him back to try more photos.

Pics are funny things I have see GD figs that palce, top 3 that look 10X better in the WD the next month. And I have seen pics that look nothing like the fig in person.

I have a really nice light box set up and every thing I just could not get decent pics of him I guess.

Excellent. Even though the eldar aren't all that cool (that's just my opinion, you giez) that model is uberawesome. 10/10.

... because that totally makes sense.

I love it, although personally I liked the whole hand that constantly drips blood from the GW model and think it's a bummer that it's missing.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I like the look of that too, but can see any thing but lava dripping from him, it would evaporate so fast its not funny. I live in Hawaii and have see the stuff close up. There is no way its would work, I know we are crossing the whole realtiy vs fantasy here but I just could not do it. Anyways thanks for the comments.

Nice work. But with that spear he must be a real pain to transport.
