Okay, I got the green tide. As such, I now have 100 orks on the sprue.

I have a few questions.

1. What are those landmine type things that are in the hands of the boyz?

2. What is the Nob's weapon on the front of the box and is it an upgrade?

3. What is the Mek symbol? Is it included in the boy box?

4. For 30 boy squads do you go for rokkits or big shootas?

5. Is there a designated Nob leg set?

6. Why can I make 11 orks instead of ten? Where does the extra one come from? (there are eleven bases, eleven legs and eleven torsos.)

7. Big Mek w/ KFF or Big Mek w/ SAG?

8. Solo biker boss or try to fit a single squad of lootas in?

9. If biker boss, how do I use him tactically?

10. I got some extra ork bits second hand. Most are cool, but there are quite a few shootas that are not attached to hands. Instead they have the trigger and they are supposed to go on the orks Marine style. The current box is not like that, yet all other parts I got in the second hand bits were identical to the box ones.

11. Does the dipping speed painting technique (http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/725) work if the orks are painted in a scheme different to goffs?

12. What scheme would be appropriate for an Ork slogging horde? Also, If I do a biker boss, I will have him riding a jugganaught. I like red orks a fair bit, but any scheme would work I suppose. (Except goffs!)

13. Can I use an ordinary craft knife for removing mold lines?

10. I got second hand Ork bits. They had the shoota separate from the hand holding the trigger. The box I got w/ the gree tide had the guns already attached to the hands.

12. But I want to use lootas and a KFF. Aren't Snakebites against that? What clan has a nice colour scheme (Fairly bright and vibrant) along with a history that lets them do that?

13. Does it work as well as the GW brand hobby knife?

9. he has a 4+ cover save and can move 18" hide him behind cover or in a biker mob. or go 4x4 and cut across the terrain.
10. yes, all guns are attached, by the sound someone had started a konversion on a large scale and stopped and sold it off.
12. the 3 things with snakebites, one lots of gretchen, two lots of squigs, 3 lots of boyz on foot. other than that it's open. if you want to field lootas with mek then go SAG. if you want bright colour then go evil sunz, yellow and love lootas and flash gits and high tech stuff.
13. depending on the quality of knife, i use GW knifes to be honest but used to use a good non-GW knife

1. Tank Busta Bombz. Nothing in an Ork Boyz mob can actually take them, so it's inclusion is a mystery.

2. That's just a slugga with a scope in top of it. It has two barrels, but it's just a standard slugga.

3. Meks usually have two crossed spanners as their symbol.

4. I usually take rokkits, but that's because I typically face marine armies. It's really a matter of preference.

5. Yes, it's on the upgrade sprue, and is slightly larger that the normal ones.

6. You get 10 orks + 1 nob. The nob is slightly larger than the regular boyz.

7. KFF

8. Lootas, always more lootas.

9. IF you take a biker boss, take biker nobs to go with them. They are dead hard.

10. The Ork boyz box previous to this generation had the hands and shootas separate. They were joined together in this version to save space and time. The previous set had more boyz, but no Nob or special weapons, and cost more. Overall, the new box is much better imo.

11. Yes, though dipping usually produces quite dark models, which I guess is appropriate for goffs..

12. Whatever you want. I'm quite partial to red-clothed Orks, though traditionally that's a Evil Sunz colour scheme who are typically in trukks.

13. Yes, though a set of needles files will help for some of the fiddly bits.

Another question:

You know the gun the Nob is supposed to be given? (The twin barreled one) What exactly is it? Is it a twin linked shoota?

If so, does it come with the nob, or do I need to pay points for it.

Ok, it is a twin linked shoota and yes you have to pay an extra 10pts for it, but it you put it on and tell your opponent that you "accidently put it on" than im sure tehy will understand and let you have it as a slugga

The "twin linked shoota" for the nob is not. It's simply a larger slugga, looking kustomized for the nob.

Really, i swear it was a twin linked shoota, meh oh well.

I like the new ork dex
