So here is a box of Lizardmen. I am going to see how many I can paint today. I mean I am coming up on 3000 messages, a year of DCM and a LIFETIME of Wargaming I suppose I could paint something.
I do not have any washes, and only one ink so I doubt I will get the shields done/ on. Also there is a new range coming out, including plastic Temple Guard, which is what the converted Halberds are supposed to represent. But they can still be bullet catcher Temple Guard after I buy a box of the new stuff.
Edit: Make that > 3000 messa-gers. 3,000 messa-gers; a dozen or so lady friends of varying virtue and beeers, I must be doing something right.
I will not wash them, but I have Sky Blue ink that I ink the bodies with. I will highlight/ dry brush the bone (which is the same thing for me ). The wood I will probably wait until I get a wash or look at the pictures in the book.

Well I fell asleep. Story of my life. So much for "laying down for a little bit". Before I did I got about 1/3 of them up to 'almost table-top'. I took a picture but I will paint more today. I do not like how the flash works, makes it too bright.
What does the book say to do.
Gold: Metal paint + ink. I will paint them and call it good enough for now.
Scales: I did paint + ink. Good enough.
Shields: I will highlight same as the book.
Weapon hafts: I consider this to be a kind of ironwood. I have floor wax and brown paint I will try making a wash of some kind.
I think I might go with warpaint of some kind here and there.

Anyway, they had a good article on painting them in WD a while back when those first came out. Do you have that?
EDIT: Ah, now that I've typed DCM, I can put the cursor over it and see what it says, although I'm still no sure what you have to do to achieve that prestigious title.

It's better to simply be an idiot, as no one can call you on it here. -H.B.M.C.
Cap'n Gordino's instant grammar guide:
"This is TOO expensive." "I'm going TO the store, TO get some stuff."
"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."
cough up $25 to yak and lego. Once you do, the power is YOURS. bwahahahaha. Benefits: dakkadakka.com e-mail, less ads if you want to miss the cool ads, freedom to spam a bit and you get to be friends with akira.
And no, I do not have WD from that era I do not think. Lemme snoop around on the website.
They look kind of hum-drum because of the lack of highlight but they will be good enough if I moan about it while I paint 'em. I can always touch 'em up later if I am not busy with five or six other armies.

Well I got 'em all black and blue I am doing the brown (wood), gold and the Javelin tips will be iron (Boltgun) since the Skinks are just little guys. Shields will wait until after I paint the Cold Ones, which will probably be after I get the washes ... which I will probably pick up today.
I know this is not a very exciting painting blog, it is the text version. . Also, I am still awake by some miracle, must be the muzak.

eh I think I will do the brown. Edit: fething hell I can't get the lid off. I think I will do some cleaning and look for my opener-things. I have to decide if I want a couple boxes of Orks or the new Space Marine book. I think I will go for the Orks. Knowing the weapon options for Space Marine HQ can wait a few more weeks.
