Subject: squig hoppers and a building

I’m rather new to fantasy and even newer to squig hoppers.
Today I had a situation occur that I’d like your opinions on.
My squig hoppers chose to move towards the skirmishers in the woods on the other side of a building. (You can see where this question is going, I can tell) they rolled an 11 which was smack-dab in the middle of said building. What happens? Are they in the building? On top of it? Do they take dangerous terrain tests (jk) or move around the building?
What if it was a wood template or some other sort of terrain?
the faq didn't seem to have anything about it and the book just says they move their full distance.
We ended up saying they were 'on top' of the building and after 3 consecutive failed animosity rolls, they were finally shot to death. :(
thanks
garin

Squig hoppers move as skirmishers. So with your example regarding the woods, they'd suffer no movement penalty for moving through difficult or very difficult terrain. Not sure about this, but i'd guess the squig hoppers would land as close as possible to the building. Then bounce over it next turn.

It's an interesting one. They are infantry, and infantry can enter buildings. It seems weird that the squigs can go through a building, gain cover (-3 to foes shooting at them), then leap out again.
Wonder if it's supposed to be the squigs crashing through the roof, than leaping out again?
Not sure about this one

I totally agree it's an odd one.
i like to think of them as making several small jumps rather than one big one. *laugh* that makes it easier to visualize them entering a building.

Well the Squid Hopper in the opening scene of Warhammer Online navigates through a gatehouse though he is running most of the way rather than hopping.

Don't squighoppers have a special rule that makes them move through cover without incident? If not, I've been cheated upon...again... I don't play against a lot of O&G, not many players around here...

they are skirmishers so they can move through cover and they don't 'move' normally so they can go through or over LOS blocking features.

I'd say they end up in the building, as there is nothing preventing them (being an infantry unit) from entering.
Actually makes them quite nasty, all things considered. Of course, you have to actually land in the building which could be tricky.

That's a fact, since they have random movement... But in my opinion they ARE quite nasty...
