Subject: Shrike + Khan + Assault Squad = Infiltrating Death?

Ok, so the theory is:
Shrike & Khan both join an Assault squad, Shrike gives them all infiltrate (and infiltrate 18" away). Choose Fleet as your chapter tactic.
Your first turn - move 12", Fleet +D6", & then Assault 6" with Furious Charge & Hit 'n Run = Kill every thing.
Is this valid? I know these independent characters give their ability to "models in his unit", do independent characters that join "his unit" get them.
(Same could also be said for a chaplain's "Liturgies of battle")
Comments, Opinions & Rants welcome!

Get a Command Squad on Bikes. Fleeting bikes with the ability to take Storm Shields and an Apothecary.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |

I didn't think Khan's fleeting on a bike carried over to his command squad?

Kor'sarro khan can't have a jumppack.
So movement would be infantry -> 6"
=> infiltrate + move 6" + fleet d6 + assault 6". following turns its: move 6" + fleet d6 + assault 6".
A IC/ SC without a JP would reduce the benefits of JP's to zero.

khan can have a bike though, which moves 12" in the movement phase. Regarding the plan yes it works, an IC attached to a squad is part of that unit at all times except for allocating attacks against them in close combat, this includes for another IC granting benefits to that unit. edit: also no, khan doesn't grant fleet to his unit at any time, he only has it when mounted on his bike and on his own (excluding shrike's chapter tactics), he grants furious charge and hit and run.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

why would you want that much killing power in one unit? all you would do is shred the defending unit and stand around with you arse in the breeze for your opponent to waste your assault squad and two very expensive SCs...

Khan would, of course, take his bike that allowed him to fleet... Meaning the entire squad infiltrates, moves 12", fleets & then assaults (with furious charge )

Neither Khan nor Shrike are expecially expensive as IC's go.
And yes, you would want to balance the power weapons in the unit to try and make sure that at best (or at worst depending on your point of view) you only leave a couple models after turn 1 in a MEQ squad.
Against an ork squad you really don't have many problems- beyond the hidden power klaw... and ork unit will have enough boys, and be fearless enough to withstand two rounds of combat so you can hit and run out, then charge something else, using the rest of your army to finish off that unit with shooting. And this may lead to one of the stronger applications of Telion's wound allocation ability. Snipe out the Power Klaws.
