How do Orcs and Goblins reproduce? As i understand it there are no female (or technically male for that matter) orcs or goblins.
I know that Orks and Grot reproduce through spores, could this be the same for their fantasy counterparts?

To cut a long story short....
Taken from Lexicanum for 40k orks but applies to orcs and goblins in WHFB as well.
Orks have not only survived, they have prospered and are more numerous than humanity. This at least is due in part to how they reproduce. Orks reproduce through the release of spores, which grow into a plant-like womb underground that nourishes the bodies of the various Orkoid species. This is the entire basis of the Orkoid ecosystem, producing first Squigs, then Snotlings who cultivate the Squigs and fungus, then Gretchin to build the settlements, and finally the Orks themselves. This means the Orks, where ever they go, will have an abundance of food, slaves and other resources, a moving ecosystem that supports them as they go on their Waaagh!s
This also makes it extremely difficult to rid a planet of Orks, even if the initial invasion is defeated. Orks release spores thought their lives, but release them particularly at the moment of death. Without a nearby population of Orks, the fungus will eventually start the Ork life cycle anew. Decades after weathering an Ork Waaagh! settlements on a planet can find themselves faced with an unexpected attack from Feral Ork tribes coming out of the wilderness.

Hmmm... Then as 'Nids (acording to some old fluff) created Squigs, and squigs are the first part of an ork infestation, it stands to reason that Orks are really some form of 'Nid organism, eh?

Squigs aint really part of the orkish nature.
The share the same family but not part of the same nature.
The Orks ( in 40k) where created by the Old Ones and in WHF they say that spores came from outer space - maybe.
Nids and Squigs have nothing to do with each other though and Squigs are not the first part of the ork infestation also
Another thing is the stuff about Spores. From what I know just Orkz have spores but ork spores can create "fungiz", snotlins, gretchins/gobbos/goblins and orkz. Nobody knows what will come outta the cocon but something will see the sun.

The old Squig Swarms were what happened wen a Hive Fleet absorbed Ork DNA, Squigs are still natural Greenskins though, as I remember in the Ork 'dex it says that Greenskins developing from a spore have a random chance of being Ork, Grot, Snotling or Squig, in the same manner that human foetuses (foetii?) have a random chance of being male or female. However, squig swarms are dead as zoats now, so who cares?

I prefer to hold to the fluff Gonads posted; Squigs are not necessarily S5 toothy monsters, but rather, 'Squiggly Beasts' of any description. Obviusly the bigger they are, the more important, and vice versa.
