Subject: Boosting warbikes ?

Hi all.
Since the new Ork codex came put , I cant help thinking the warbikers have been made a bit too fragile.
Making them fearless doesnt fit the style of the new codex.
So how about the old 'Speed Freek ' rule being re-instated in a new form.
Speed Freeks.
Any ork unit mounted on warbikes (& deff koptas?)Count as two models when taking Mob Rule checks.
EG.
6 or more warbikes = fearless.(12 + models.)
5 warbikes= Ld 10.
4 warbikes = Ld 8
3 or less = normal Ld .
Is this too much?
Or would it make warbikes viable without being too overpowered?
(I have only played a few games and it doesnt seem too bad so far.)
Thoughts and comments welcome.

Just go back to making them fearless. It worked well in the past, don't see why it doesn't work well now.

I don't know where you're getting "fragile" from; I run an all-biker list currently, and they're pretty hardcore. Leadership is about the only place they suffer, and everything has to have a weakness.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

How about giving them Feel No Pain? Bosspoles? Waagh Banner? Power Fists? Just take Nob Bikers if you feel the basic Bikers are underpowered sheesh. Although your mechanic makes sense.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.
