We will be using a new rating system for this tournament, which borrows heavily from the current Grand Tournament system. The exact breakdowns haven't been finalized yet, but keep an eye out here for them once they do. Know that you will rate each opponent on Sportsmanship, and each player will be judged for Army Composition and Painting by tournament judges, not by your opponent. Round One starts at 11:00, so plan to make it no later than 10:30. The army list submitted by the deadline must be the one used at the actual tournament, so bring an extra copy of your army list so it can be verified. Submitted lists can be either in .rtf, .txt, .pdf or .rst (Army Builder files). In order to pre-register, you must submit your entry fee via PayPal (westernmassgaming@yahoo.com). If you must cancel, please do so no later than Wednesday, November 19th, so your slot may be filled (we are, of course, understanding of emergencies).
As far as the model requirements, as stated above, 575 points of your army must be fully painted and based. This means that you must have at least three colors on the model not including the primer, no bare metal or plastic may be showing, and the base must have some sort of basing material (flock, static grass, sand, snow) on it. If you fail to meet the painting requirement, you can still play, but you will be shorted a number of points equal to how far short of the requirement you fall. For example, if you have 400 points painted, you would lose 175 points of unpainted models from your force, and play with 2,075 points. Concerning Converted and Scratch Built models, this is the current club policy. All models that are currently represented by a Citadel miniature cannot be represented by a non-Citadel piece. With conversions, the model must contain a majority (51% +) of Citadel components, and accurately represent the model it is taking the place of. Upgrades must be represented on the model, especially weapons and wargear. If there is a unit in your force that does not have a current or previous Citadel model, then, and only then, may you use a scratch-built model that does not contain a majority of Citadel components, although again, all weapons and wargear must be clearly modeled. If you're even the tiniest bit unsure about this, ask me. Don't risk it, because you might have models plucked from your force the day of the tournament.
This will be the first tournament where people will have to pay their entry fee at the time of registration to pre-register, and another important note is that you must submit the army list you will be using to Kinne no later than Friday, November 21st, so you can be rated for composition.
