Well, ive begun to start on my "Project" being my Warboss for my new upcoming army.

The thread can be found here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/221721.page

As I stated I wanted my Warboss to have 4 legs (Always loved things with 4 mechanical legs since Armored Core ) I saw this done on some odd Gamesworkshop article (It was some odd flash things about the enemies of the imperium) before they changed their website.

And his fluff, is he Was a wandering Mekboy, whom with incredible knowledge crafted many many weapons, gadgets, vehicles...anything. He travelled the wastes of the desert planet he inhabited and collected junk and garbage. Until he finally set up a "Homebase"... rest is in the other thread.

And his pose, which I will try to accomplish was to have him standing calm, with his 4 legs and in his right hand would be a giant gear/wrench kind of weapon (Which would just be straight, a little bit into the sand.) and with his other just pointing forward with his powerklaw. And behind him a tattered cape waving into the wind. And he is addorned with bitz and gadgets... I wanted him to have a some what herioc commanding pose.

Anyway! I was hoping for your guys help. I need some references pictures if possible, some ideas, anything that could help.

Oh, and this is going to be the start of an entire "Advanced" Ork army (Advanced as in the army is technologically advanced compared to a normal orkish horde.) The army would be more armored (Not gamewise) and would have gadgets and fancy shootas and what not.

Thanks for the help!

For legs, look for the old IMEX "Robogear" stuff (I think Megahobby sells some). They had a couple of walkers that might work for your legs.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

I like your idea, but a Defiler would be much too big. Necrom tomb spider legs could work fine I think.

Maybe this picture will help too. I found it a few years ago somewhere online.

YES, YES YES!

This is the picture I saw o'so many years ago! And it was lost to the abyss we call the interwub. Thank you so much.

I ing love you.

EDIT: Whoops I forgot to ask. Are those legs in another box set? Or were they scratch made?

The front legs look like old gorkamorka bits, either the grabbin klaw or wrekking ball support arm, can't tell which. Front claws are tomb spider hands. The top halves of the rear legs are plastic sentinel legs, and the toe claws appear to be scratch built...

(Edit) On second thought, those front arms could be old ork dread arms, those were dual piston iirc.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

And you would field that AS a warboss? Or would your dreadnought be you Commander-In-Fluff, and the 'uvver-guy-is-just-pretendin'?

The front 'arms' are Dread arms with Necron Tomb Spider claws. The rest of the legs look like hacked down Sentinel legs with some unidentified claw tips on the ends.

Yeah im going to probably field him as a warboss.

Im trying to get these legs down. I dont care for the arms in the front (They looks dumb honestly) but the legs are perfect. Ive been studying some sentinal legs, but can't quite make out how'd I'd get those nice legs....

I don't like it. Yeah, it's great conversion work, but it just looks lika an Ork diving onto a mechanical foe from above.

I think this idea has potential,
just a word of warning though if your using it in games to not make to tall, or big as it will become a easy target under the new LOS rule which only wargear and wings are exempt. otherwise go for it man and post some pics while you build it.
