Ok, I wannna get a biovore or 3 cos i figure they could be fun...but i was wondering on the rules. I havent got the rulebook with me but let me use this example as an....example.

I have a unit of 3 biovores. They fire their cluster of spore mines at a unit of infantry. It lands on target. Now the problems begin (or I have missed something). U resolve each template 1 at a time right? Say I resolve the 1st template and it kills everything under it. Now the 2nd and 3rd template have no units under them and are wasted (i believe this is a problem with biovores only as the templates are resolved over each other).

I know that you dont have to remove casualties that are under the template, but im just saying what if they do? Is it really as crap as it sounds?

Mindless Spore Mine

under a rock

First each spore rools a different scatter die ex: first hits, explodes. 2nd hits, explodes, and so on.

So if the enemy unit is wiped out in 1 spore the others would land after scatter. If the enemy leaves a hole in there unit the spores you have left can be placed over enemies.

Um, no. You are completely incorrect. Check out the codex again and you'll find that spore mines are fired as a cluster and are resolved using the rules for multiple barrages. You fire one Spore as the 'target' model and if that hits the target the whole cluster explodes. If that target spore misses then you place all the mines as a single cluster which then starts to drift around the board.

To the original poster, check out the rules for barrage weapons, specifically the rules for multiple barrages on page 32 of the rulebook for details on how to resolve a spore mine cluster (that contains multiple mines) when it detonates.

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!
