I'm asking for some sneeky nid tactics that can be put to good use against tau and chaos .

that is all

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

put your gaunts on objectives... then Lurk. Get some synapse to them by the end of the game so they are now scoring. while on the objectives and gone to ground while lurking they will have a 2+ cover save...

the lictor gives you rerolls regardless of whether it's on the table - it merely has to be in your army (in my opinion, it doesn't even have to be alive any more - logically, the pheremone trail was laid before the battle starts)

@Clang, agreed, i had a debate with a friend about that and we came to the conclusion it acts like an ant trail, once its there, its there to stay for a long while.

lictors are quite good

I have come up with a tzctic of myself just get a broodlord and a retineu of genestealers ( with scythnig talons plus one rending attack )
And let them infiltrate your enemie will be frightended to bits and will place all his units in a position in which you can not place him behind them.
The only thing you have to do now is place your broodlord behind a couple of trees wich blocks line sight but exactly twelve inch away from the enemy so that he can reach them in the first turn.
And while you are slaughtering those enemy models your opponent will realise that most of his units are not capable of shooting because they have all been placed close to the table edge to stop your broodlord from sneeking up behind them.

This tactic works extremely well against tau.

Biovore brood 3 strong. The Tau are not friends with bio-acid mines. Great way to get rid of Fire Warrior teams.

Mattlov do you really have success with biovores? Everyone I have seen on here tends to not like them.

IMO Lictors are dead sneaky

This wont fly at tourneys but my buddy and i alwalys put a tree or some small bush or some sort of terrain near the other players deployment zone.

Then drop your lictor in the tree and watch the other player choose to throw everything they can to kill the lictor in their face. Or shoot the rest of the army advancing and hope the lictor doesnt eat their Dev/heavy weapons team etc etc etc... for breakfast

This is silly! Buttons are not how one escapes dungeons! I would smash the button and rain beatings liberally down on the wizard for playing such a trick!

I actually really like biovores and have decent luck with them.
They are annoying in 5e now when annihilation makes them less than worthless to fire though.
Great fun at 'ardBoys and in Apoc though.
