I like sternguard, I like vindicators, and I like the Telion model. Can it work?

Its very hard to read. I'd take full squads of Sternguard.

The reason I was bringing the two small squads was so I could have two pods come in on turn 1.

I could drop a vindicator and make one of those small squads a full one, but I like having three. Do you think it'd be worth it to have 2 full squads and a small one, but only 2 vindicators?

for the 1500 point army id drop a vindicator and drop one stern guard squad and beef the other to 10 and try to get a tac squad.

I agree with Deathmachine on the beefing up, but a tac squad isn't as necessary in my mind. Just watch out for H.flamers on those scouts.
