It's probably been discussed at some point, though I haven't seen it. Am I right in thinking CSM bikers get to use both their CCW and Bolt pistol in Close combat now in 5th ed? It seems in 4th and previous editions the point had been made that a biker needs to have one hand controlling the bike so didn't get the use of an additional CC weapon. I'm not seeing that anywhere in 5th.

Old news really. Everybody gets to use two weapons while mounted on a bike, even Dark Eldar thanks to their 5th edition FAQ.

It's not like riding a motorcycle into close combat made any sense before anyway.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

Someone's childhood didn't include road rash, you missed out.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I do appreciate the info, sorta silly how much of the 'old rules' stick with you til you decide to question them.

SM bikes have an auto pilot system... You know they call it the machine spirit.

I ALWAYS get sucked into bike threads. - You don't need your hands to steer a bike! , you can steer by leaning, by pushing the seat with your butt and hips, you can steer by pushing harder on one footplate.

That said, I do much prefer to have (at least) one hand on the handlebar. Also I would never try to go no-handed off-road, I find it hard enough all ready.
While I dream of sticking twinlinked machine guns to my bike, I think close combat would be too hard (as orkeosaurus said) . There is NO WAY you could ride into a mob of twenty orks, and stay on your bike. - Maybe you could jump off and let the bike smash into them, probaly a waste of a bike though

A new day, a new time zone.

If you really want to get into it, the fact that bikes only have a 6" assault move would seem to indicate that at some point they probably do get off the bike to bust heads.

remember that bikers roll for dangerous terrain not diificult terrain when entering cover... so they remain mounted when charging an enemy unit in cover.
