I'm close to painting the wings for this Daemon Princess but I'm at a complete loss as to what coloring to give the wings. Somehow, I just don't think a flesh colored skin tone is going to work so I need some input if ya don't mind. I'm going to post the most recent pics right after this so you won't have to go to the end of the thread to look at them.

While I refuse to use lesser daemons w/ my CSM since the new codex, I do see the necessity for both a greater daemon and a daemon prince. Fluff wise, I'm a little constrained because of my WordBearer legion but I'll deal. I've had the GW Daemon Prince for a long time now and decided to assemble and paint it up in classic WordBearer fashion. I got no more than the primer and a 1st base coat on and lost complete interest.

Digging around in what I have, I started matching some pieces together and came up with a far more exciting DP I'll paint up and use. Noting is painted yet as I've still got to do some GS work. Here are some pics:

Well, not a Slaanesh army (though it could definately be used as such if a few rows of breasts were added)...I think I did it to piss off the wife The model itself, one of the assassins from the Inquisitor range, had a tight body suit on. Long ago I had started filing down all the areas of that body suit where there were cuts modeled on it. I'd originally planned to put some Great Eagle wings on it as well. after abandoning the idea of making it into a fully armored SoB.

I'd remember'd having it, so found these daemon type wings and changed course, since I sorely need a DP.

I'm thinking I might give it a bob haircut like a SoB still; so fluff wise it's a fallen SoB that has reached DP hood. The being nude part would just be a final removal of restraint IMO. I've not seen one done like it and also figured one certainly hadn't been done nude so why not. If I'm facing someone in a game and their attention keeps getting diverted, so much the better for me

Cool, thanks for the link. Well...I'm sorta sad I'm not the only one to think of it, but I'm very happy I'm not using the stock heads. I hate those things. I'm also glad I'm doing it sans the body suit, the corset stays though...and the high heels...and the thong thingy.

I'm still undecided on whether I'll add a tail or not. The only reason I'm against it is because the wings would really obscure it.

That is the exact same model I used in my emperors children army! it rocks, or it did until the army got stolen =(

The base model is the Severina/Sevora Assassin models from the Inquisitor range. I'm also using the head from Lady Jena Orichel. The sword is the regular DP sword and I'm not sure what model the wings belong to since I inherited them. You get two in the pack so it gives you the chance of really working up a conversion if you're brave enough

When Phidias was sculpting the statue of Athena at the Parthenon he was scolded by a monk for spending too much time sculpting the hair on the back of the statue's head. "That statue will stand fourty feet tall with it's back against a wall, no one can see it." To which Phidias replied "But I will know it is there." and continued to sculpt the hair.

My advice, add a tail if you want a tail. It will bother you if you don't.

Well the DP is finished, I'd posted some shots in another thread since I had different questions on having the arms mounted. The thread for that is here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/222616.page

Now I've started working on the Daemon Princess again. So after about 30 min to an hour of messing w/ GS last night I finally got the hair done for her head and finished up the tail. Who would have thought a bowl cut would be so much work! Anyway, a few new pics for her and painting will commence in the next day or so after I fill in a few pits and gouges from the original modeling of cut marks. I'm still out on the tail, though I love how it came out. I may try something alot thinner in girth and longer. I've also got a few horns to mount on the forehead. I really wish GW would have done more w/ their Inquisitor range...it's such a nice size at 54mm and plastics would have been awesome.

Sorry everyone, I went ahead and pixelated the pics. I forgot it was against the forum rules so it had to be done. When I finish the paint on this model, I'll just provide a link and a disclaimer.

Ok, well a MOD said visible breasts are ok..but now that's it's done I'm just going to leave them this way.

Ok, well I've finally got around to putting some paint on the DP. I've been blending most of the day and the colors are actually more subdued than what the pictures show here. I'll have to take new ones when the sun is out. I decided to change the weapon to something more interesting. So thinking in the way of an 'Acursed Crozius' eventhough Word Bearer's don't have them anymore :/ Anyway, enjoy...

I also moved the pics to the first post so anyone looking at the thread doesn't think it's just an old post w/o anything new.

It's too late now but as a demon of slaanesh it should have a bulge in the groin area.

Good thing it's not a Daemon of Slaanesh Think of it more as a SoB seduced by Chaos and given DP hood.

Ok, bumping the thread cause I really need some input on possible colors for the wings for this girl. You can see the wings I'm using up in the first post btw an I'm re-posting the most recent pics here also. Some suggestions to get the ball rolling is all I need I'm having a pretty bad mental block atm.

it baffles me why you blanked the nipples out in the bare metal, yet not in the painted version...

well, at the time...there was a post w/ a Slaneesh Army and a certain Soul Grinder w/ an...accessory. The OP was informed to remove the pics and edit them, so seeing that, I went ahead and did the same to mine.

Come to find out through further discussion on that post that bare breasts are not viewed by the MoD's to be pornographic. So I just didn't changed anything back and decided to not censor the new pics.
