The question is rather simple, for once, can Tyrant Guards in the same unit pick different biomorph and / or different weapon configuration (lash whip & scything talon) ?

The wording seems unclear ton me on this point.

It would help if you told us what it is that's so unclear, your post really gives us nothing to go on.

That said, when you have to do a whole unit at once it normally says "the unit may" not "tyrant guard may" so I don't think there's any reason they can't have different weapons.

For other's reference: "A Hive Tyrant ... may choose to be accompanied by up to 3 Tyrant Guard...Tyrant Guard have rending claws and scything talons... Tyrant Guard may replace their scything Talons with Lash Whips at no extra cost."

yes you may have different biomorph equipted tyrant guard but is not wise to give up rendering and an extra attack

You don't lose rending, only the +1 attack from the talons, and in exchange you give everyone in base contact -1 attack, which will be very helpful against close combat units.

Yeah, and its great for bogging down multi-attack characters while your tyrant rips his head off

And, due to the new would allocation rules, having differently equipped guard has certain advantages.
