At what point do you draw the line of what is allowed and what is not allowed for a converted army? Case in point, The Hello Kitty army, or how about this Ratonnion army:

does anyone have a link to the GT rules for converted armies? If who ever owns the Rattonnian army plays them as Bretonnian I could see were some people would have a problem telling what models stand for what units, I.E Grail knights vs questing knights.

From what I hear the general rule is 40%+ GW parts to play in a GT. Say I have an Idea for a neat army using the necron rule set, and I build it using GW parts but it comes out looking nothing like necrons, could I still enter a GT with it?

I imagine the rule depends on the tournament. Personally, as long as I can consistently and easily understand which units represent which, I don't believe ANY conversion can be too much. I prefer heavily converted armies to stock.

yah, there is. SM (hurr) or CSM, i dont remember.
And that Ratonnian army is ACE.

I think as long as everybody can clearly identify the units as to what they are suppose to represent, there shouldnt be any problems. however, i dont know how this would go tournament-wise

The usual rule for tournaments is that your models have to be mostly GW official parts.

Hello Kitty Marines should qualify as you just change the heads.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

If you look at the Ard boyz rules for the US it states that a model to be used= ""Any conversions must begin as Citadel models and
contain a majority of Citadel components"". But that is for a GW Sponsored event, now depending on your local store and their rules.. Most I would say are at least WYSIWYG
