There are tons of threads where people used them on Cadians or other Guard figrues.

Do they work on SMs?

i dont personally know, but i do remember one of the threads your talking, someone saying that they look to small on SM.

I haven't seen this either, so no idea. It would be nice to know. I've personally always hated the standard unhelmeted GW heads for SM's. Even on my CSM's I've limited those to just a few.

It's only £3 for a bag of heads. I could just try it and see.

There was a thread about a sisters army that had pig iron heads. The scale looked spot on. Ofcourse, sister bodies are a bit smaller than marines.

yea you could just buy the bag, if they are to small im sure youll find somthing to use them on. and again if they look spot on with a SOB then the heads would look too small on SM

They work fine i use them on my Death Guard
