I am painting some killa kans and I want to do them in pink. If you disagree with the premise I apologize. I've done two so far and I'm generally pleased with the result but I'd be grateful for some tips from the experts on how to paint convincing pink vehicles.

I actually painted some pink pants on the AoBR nobz, and they came out pretty cool. All I did was slather the pants down with the warlock purple, and then highlight with Tentacle Pink

Here's a link to my pink paint scheme Ork army. I've got some cans painted up also (will post more pics). I used to use the old Tentacle pink coulour, but it has now gone the way of the dodo. Now I suppose I'll have to mix up some white and red paint. Hot pink tends to be a bit to harsh, so in my opinion its best to wash down the colour with a red or brown afterwards.

Less of the pink = gay, please. Pink is my old school rowing colours.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

IMO it takes a real man to walk around bolstering pink. also i think your orks look really nice. as for the kans.... id suggest painting them pink like you normally have done, and then dull the crap outta them. specially by the exhaust and gun barrels(makes for good burn marks)

If you have need of more tentacle pink, the FLGS here has a stash of it. Let me know and I'll hook you up.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I love those kans. May I ask, what did you use as a wash? brown ink or wha?

I put the base coat on the Orks and then "dipped" them in woodstain. Dipping is great way to get a decent looking army painted up fast (to what I would call a wargame quality paintjob). Basically the stain seeps into all the cracks of the miniature and provides a nice shading effect. As a bonus the stain acts as a protective coating for the miniature. If you type in "dipped miniatures" I'm sure you can find all kinds of info.

The best way to paint pink is over white primer, IF you do use black primer you will have to paint the area yellow before you paint the pink on, I have no Idea why this works but it does. I painted a huge emperors children army this way.

What kind of pink are you looking for?
Are you looking for a bright *BAM* chaosy pink or a more delicate "girly" pastel pink?

How you approach it depends on what kind of pink you're looking for.
