They sure can.

Thats why if I take Icons, its always Glory. If I lose it, its doesnt hurt so bad for one, and because unlike loyalist Marines, they will continue to fall back if below 50%. At least with Glory I get a re-roll.

If I want the benifits of any of the other Icons, ill just take the Troop Choice associated with it instead. At least their wargear doesnt determine how long they get to benifit from a certian gods patronage.

Yeah that's crappy. IoK or two more marines is a tough call. But still possibly useful for a hard-hitting squad.
