ok so i started painting some of a nid army i hav and got as far as one color being a dark purple on the carapace and floundered to find colors that work with it well. and i hav no problems just killing what i have done so far to make them look good. im a decent painter with some experience and will try what ever so any suggestions???
White or bone would contrast well with purple. In fact, I was thinking of doing my current set of Tyranids in bone/purple, the ability to wash red with the same brown wash as the bone led me to a bone-red scheme.
A really good yellow, mint green hot pink or aqua could look good!
Depends on what you want:
Naturalistic or 'skittles' nids?
Are there any colours that you hate/can't paint?
What colour is the undercoat?
Where do they hunt?
How fast do you want them painted?
How many of them are there?
Are you dipping?
