Well, I'd reconfigure them. Drop plasma pistols as you shoot them at most once.
The Rhino squad should get a melta or flamer.
The 2nd unit is fine, while the third is very unspecific. It needs an AC with power fist and special weapons for defending an objective.
The last squad needs a transport, too.

I agree on the plasma pistols, especially on the power fist champion - 25 pts on a fist is a lot to loose. With them dropped could get myself a rhino for the melta squad.

The 3rd unit has been dropped and replaced with a predator with full lascannon setup.

all your army lists are low on anti-tank, a situation IW should not be in.

i would take meltas on your CSM squads instead of plasma and then use the points to put them all in rhinos. if you get the points give them IoCG

defilers are really bad. they are effectively an over priced dreadnought. get rid of it and take some obliterators instead, the same with that vindicator.

the additional lord youre taking in your 2000pt list should be another demon prince. same points, more effective model.

those terminators should have a special weapon. RAC for footslogging, heavy flamer for DSing. if you have points give them IoCG

stay away drom deadnoughts, they are really terrible. more terminators would be a better use of those points.

no plasma pistols ever! a melta gun is always better, and a power weapon will get 3/4 attacks in close combat each turn compared to the one shot. no dreadnoughts ever for chaos; wast of points, time, metal, space, money, time, paint. Defilers are only good if you take 3 (with no upgrades, 2 close combat arms only), same for the vindicatotors, take 3 or nothing. Olbterators are where it's at. Every Iron Warrior hope that when they grow up that they'll become an Oblitereator.

Obliterators are my favourite Heavy Support choice and are also very in character for Iron Warriors.

Regwon - I agree on plasma weaponary full stop. A fair few times for my chaos and SM army I've lost troops due to the gets hot rule, its damn annoying. Especially on a champion whose armed with a fist. I'II drop the pistol as mentioned and give a power weapon instead.

Dreadnought I'm dropping as I'm only doing the army up to 2,000 points now. I had a army with two Defilers as someone else was using them and they're pretty good, its the long range siege for me and they already have daemonic possession for those low vehicle results.

I could do, but the Lord is such a wicked model to waste and compliments the termiantors nicely. However, the lord was in the original 1,500 army and has been replaced with the daemon prince.

The termies have been changed for a heavy flamer

Right ok guys the above 1,500 list is 66 pts over, I need to reduce it by at least 56 pts - can any one help?

Are you taking Icons of Chaos Glory? for only 10 pts a squad for a leadership re-roll, they are a necessity for all your squads that can take them. Especially for the chosen if you plan to take terminators or obliteraters; use the icons for the deep strike afters infiltrating or outflanking! I would drop 1 of the power weapons from the chosen squad to add another melta gun. Or if you really want to go all out close combat with the chosen, consider the pair of lighting claws, it's a bargin at 20 pts. For your 2000 pt list, i strongly recommend 4 scoring troops.

No, I won't need for all squads, only chosen and the unit to be used for CC have and require them IMO.

I have been thinking of getting another unit of terminators for the 2,000 list, but not sure. Four troops are definately needed.
