Does this combo give you an extra attack? I have an Inquisitor lord I want to model with a Daemon hammer and a Thunder hammer. Would this confer +1 attack? Or is there no way to get +1 attack with a Daemon hammer?

The Daemonhammer says it counts as a Thunderhammer in all respects, so I don't see why also having a regular Thunderhammer wouldn't fulfill the rulebook requirement of being armed with two Thunderhammers, especially since it is going to cost you another 25 points to get that extra attack.

I'm sure there might be some people out there who disagree though, so its probably not worth the hassle of bothering with it.

(sorry, I couldn't help it)

I think its a fine idea! 50 points for an extra S6 power weapon attack? Really? Why would you want to do that except to make a cool model? I think its legit..

2 legit...

Because you only get the +1 attack with a thnder hammer if the other weapon is a thunder hammer.

Ok its been clarified. You do get the extra attack because in the codex it states: "counts as a Thunderhammer in all respects."

isn't that lightning claws that have that rule? what the hell would make swinging two gigantic hammers easier?

It's just a game balance rule. See page 42 for full details, in the section called "A normal and a special weapon".

Am i mistaken, i thought it just requires two special weapons to get an extra attack, not that you need two identical special weapons?

Page 42, Lightning claws, Thunderhammers and Powerfists are the only special weapons that require a duplicate weapon to get the +1A bonus in close combat.

I play DA so i don't have to worry about needing 2 of the same weapon to get an extra attack other the Lightning claws

Yes you do, this is a rule in the RULEBOOK that applies to all armies.

The opposite. Two special weapons will prevent you from getting an extra attack. (well, except for the 'doubles' like already mentioned.)

So a Power Weapon and Force Weapon means no +1 attack.

You are right but your example is wrong. Its only Powerfists,Thunder Hammers and Lightning Claws which only provide the +1A when paired. Other special weapons you can mix and match AND Since a Force Weapon counts as a power weapon with an extra ability to make a psychic test to inflict instant death it would still provide the +1A if paired with a Power Weapons if a Power Weapon fell under the same rules as PF,TH,LC(Which it doesn't)
