So I am taking a carnifex with 2 sets of twin-linked devourers. I think he looks stupid with 2 sets of guns so I want to give him a set of arms. He does after all have 2 attacks base that have to come from somewhere.

Can I use the crushing claw arms as normal arms? Do I have to tell people ahead of time or will it be obvious? If not can I modify the claws so they are smaller or weaker and play them as arms?

you would have to tell them before hand, unless you hormagaunt talons and have the really far down the body
