Having a few Fexes in a force, I decided to put a pair of Stranglers on my last one for some decent ranged suppression. Then I got to thinking...
How does twin-linked BS work? What do I get to re-roll, if anything?

Do I have to re-roll both, or can I only re-roll one of them?

Huh. That is kinda good and bad. I'll take it, though. Thanks!

let me understand this, if you take a twin-linked blast weapon eg barbed strangler. i get two blast templates and get to re-roll to hit on both?

Can I suggest you don't do that? Might be too late, but that's just not a good build. Venom Cannon and Strangler... If it ain't broke, why fix it?

Because of the way I roll. With a VC and BS, it just means I could miss with more, at the cost of more points. I like re-rolls for ANYTHING with my Tyranids, especially shooting units.

most players would take a Strangler and twin-linked deathspitters instead - two chances to hit with a template, and both may hit targets, for bonus squisht death. Twin-linked Strangler is too expensive for the extra advantage it gives
Oh, and are you taking Enhanced Senses to improve your shooting anyway?

I rather like an elite barbed strangler fex with talons and BS2. The shot is going to be wild so I just aim it in the middle of the enemy line and hope.
It was a gimic, but I am finding that against horde lists it can outgun my dakkafex.

Of course. But it still involves me rolling dice.
I'll try the twin BS. I have 5 Fexes in that force anyway, so if one is less effective I'm not that worried.

take 2 different weapons, its better. being forced to roll both dice rather than one is very little advantage, much less than that gained from having 2 lots of weapons. its a lot of points for something that is only ever going to be useful in a handful of games, as opposed to something that will be useful in almost every game.

I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

agreed, it ties up alot of point, even though you are increasing the chances of hitting on the scatter dice [4/6] thats just too much too pay
