Orks.
Patriarch = Warboss
Magus = Big Mek (in friendly games he's sometimes a Warphead)
Hybrids = Boyz
Purestrains = Kommandos
Brood Brothers = Grots
Works pretty well. If you want to field the more h2h-oriented stuff, Orks are probably the best fit. They have a good mutant/militia feel. If lots of Brood Brothers is how you want to go, I imagine IG would work pretty well.
I'll give GW a nudge about the pics. As soon as I get 'em, I'll post 'em.

Hey gorgon, your Genestealer Cult, was that the one in the white/bone-blue scheme ? I saw that army and I thought that this list army was impossibly small for a 1750 points army...
Would you mind posting a list ?

The basic scheme was khaki and blue. It was about 130 models, LOL. It may have looked smaller just because I had to pack models pretty tightly on the base. One of these days I'm gonna try a small, elite army instead of these hordes (the other army of mine people recognize is my Tyranids). 
The list was roughly:
Warboss
Big Mek
12 Lootas
12 Kommandos w/Snikrot
14 Kommandos
22 Shoota boyz
22 Shoota boyz
22 Slugga boyz
19 Gretchin
2 Buggies
2 Battlewagons
Far from optimal for a tourney, but painting time was at a premium while painting demands were large. Now that I have a good supply of finished models to start with, I'll be better able to tune it up as needed. A new version I'm looking to playtest is about the same number of models, but a different unit mix that makes it faster and a harder hitter.
