I'm modelling my jetbikes using Dark Elf Knights on Cold Ones and Lizardmen Cold Ones, but ran into a snag. The "counts-as" is pretty obvious, but what size base would I mount them on to keep things as consistent as possible?

Rules wise, they should probably be on a small flying stand - which would look terrible.
TBH, I would just put them on 40's - have a magnet in the bottom of the base, and a whole lot of flying stand bases with short stands and a magnet on the top. On the offchance you actually ever come across someone THAT pedantic (you wont), you can just put them on the flying bases quickly, where as everyone else you play who isnt a bit iffy will be fine with it.

You might want to hold off to see if the Lizardman Terradon is going to be plastic or not--that might be a more comprable 'counts as'...

What size flying stand do eldar jetbikes come on? The Cold One Riders probably stand about as high as a jetbike on a tall flying-base post anyway... maybe even higher. They're about to the shoulder of a Necron Destroyer on a tall peg.
Any idea when the terradon is coming out? I was planning on using them for Shining Spears if they are indeed plastics. I was also thinking of using the Wood Elf Hawk Riders, but wanted to keep the Exodite/Dino theme going if I could.

Yeah, if he wants all of his jetbikes flapping around saying "fnar-fnar-fnar" and he wants to kill the enemy soldiers by making them laugh themselves to death.

wow.
They are exodites... they're dino-riding space elves that don't go in space anymore. What about them wouldn't make an enemy soldier laugh themselves to death? The "fnar-fnar-fnar" is just polish on the brass of the Titanic.
Anyone able to answer my question? What size flying base are eldar jetbikes on?

I did several units of exodites like this and I can say, the flight stand base and a 30mm round are nearly synonymous, use 30mm rounds, you'll be fine.
[EDIT] You can stack a clear flight parabolic base on a 30mm round and the top surface on the 30mm and the bottom of the flear stand are the same! Good luck!

Thanks Augustus! Your exodites are the inspiration for my own - that and being the cheap bastich I am. Honestly, I get 8-10 dino-riders (depending on which dinos and what bits) for the cost of 4 jetbikes and get the wow! factor for free.
I just wanted to make sure that the base sizes were as close as possible to avoid TFG making claims otherwise. The height of the Cold One/Saurus models matches a jetbike closely, so no or few problems there...
