ok you guys know that you can download a pdf file off of the uk website that has a list of hazards on it that you are able to include in your games?
i am not sure if the ones listed affect the necrons or not can someone please help me figure it out?
geysers - deadly microbes since the necrons are not organic are they affected by the geysers or not?
intense heat - do the necrons lose the extra attacks if they charge or not
the toxic clouds - are the necrons affected my the mettalic terror clouds instead of the flesh eating clouds?
lighting limitations - are the necrons affected by the intense light?
and finally the xenos swarm - are the necrons affected by the flesh eating xenos swarm or the tank xenos swarm since they arent organic?
any help would be greatly appreciated

I haven't seen the article in question, a quick look on the site didn't turn it up, and I'm not about to spend the week and a half necessary to track it down on that godawful website...
But as an easy answer: Does the article state that Necrons are affected any differently to other models?
If not, then they follow the same rules as everyone else. Unless you decide to create House rules that say otherwise.

I have no idea about this article but the only way I would ever agree to play with them is if my opponent was equally as affected by them.....
"Hey buddy lets play a game, your eldar v my necrons, we will use all these rules that I found and BTW none of them have any adverse effects on my necrons so... gL!!!"

Generally speaking, necrons are subject to all the rules that "organic" units are subject to unless specified otherwise.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Just imagine the microbes clog their joints and ventilation systems.

First off, thats the OZ site. Secondly, they clearly state they are not official rules. Nowhere in the entirety of the "rules" does it state that a Necron model is not effected by the different effects.

He never said the rules were official, BTW.
As for the original question, just as everyone has already said, Necrons are affected by anything that affects models, even if it doesn't make much sense fluff-wise. Page 13 of the Necron Codex (in the "Fighting the Necrons" sections) even says as much (although it is specifically in reference to 'weapons' I think the spirit of the explanation is relevant).
Of course, if you're playing amongst your buddies and you want to go ahead and give the Necrons special immunities for your games, you should always feel free to do so as long as everyone is onboard with it.

Well, in the Necron codex it states that they are not exempt from things they "should" be immune to, poison was an example given.
I daresay that would cover this issue.
