The only thing I know is Star Wars Miniatures, but it's collectible with randomized prepaints like the Clix game. Don't let that scare you though. The game is easy, fast and fun.
You should get it at every good toy or hobby store.

there's a game that west end games did called Star Warriors. It's a space battle that uses card counters for the ships. You get A-wings, B-wings, TIE interceptots etc. It's good, but not sure if you're only after games that use miniatures

There is already a licenced Star Wars miniatures game (and two others for starship battles).
From memory, Wizards of the Coast have the current licence for Star Wars games (non video).
Back in the 80s and 90s, there was another Star Wars Roleplaying and miniatures battle rules (separate set) set, which were done by West End Games (miniatures were in 25mm).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

gamefreak. You want to check out the SW minis game. Espeically the Clone wars, clone strike and Revenge of the Sith editions.

I buy all of my WotC minis from FRP Games; here's a link to their Star Wars minis.

I still haven't seen a better place to get exactly what I want at a reasonable price. Also, I know that D&D Minis are going non-entirely random sometime early next year, and though I don't know if that'll apply to Star Wars minis as well there's at least some hope.

I don't think it will applay to SWM. While the minis in both systems are great for tabletop as well as roleplaying (combat), it seems that D&D minis are mostly used for roleplaying, while the Star Wars minis are moslty used for the miniatures game.

It most definitely is not happening to SWM.
D&D has a completely different core market. The miniatures game was never as strong as the RPG.
Star Wars is exactly the opposite. The current random booster format isn't going anywhere.
But really, with the number of places that sell singles, collectible games really aren't any more difficult to find what you want than any other wargame these days.
