Anyone have any good examples of jungle bases?

I want something like that for my skinks, but I don't want to use those silly plastic aquarium plants

I'll be giving each unit a gale force 9 skirmish movement tray so I'll have a lot of extra space to decorate. I was thinking about buying 1 or 2 blisters of jungle swarms just to mix the little snakes and lizards in among he undergrowth just for looks. I want something more than just dirt and bits of grass, but I dunno what would look good and make ya say "wow thats a jungle base!" ...

How about the Micro Arts Studio Jungle Bases?

They scream, "Wow, that's a jungle base!" enough?

I really don't feel that it's necessary to quote him here. Why include everything he said in your post when it's directly above your post?

Anyway, if you find small aquarium plants that aren't too tacky it can be good, you just have to shop around.

"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."

I 'found' some aquarium style plants in the pub yesterday!!!
I've never used them on a base before but they could be good once painted.
I'm taking this post to be a challenge and will post with pics within 24 hrs!
Game on!

The aquarium plants look 100% better if you paint them.

I saw the micro art ones before.. they could work but since I'm doing the gale force 9 movement trays for $10 extra per unit I wanted to keep the costs down a bit and just make something myself.

I was thinking of using some old business cards to kind of carve big fern leaves.. old cheapy speaker wire for vines.. but, 20mm squares don't leave ya a ton of space to work with :(

Well here it is. Cheers pub!

Borrowed plastic pub plant
Toothbrush bristles.
GW modelling sand.
GW Static grass.
Mushroom- Milliput+Cocktail stick.
Purple plant- Sprue shavings/curlings.

This didn't take too long and you could easily do it en masse.

hmm.. that looks good I like the sprue shavings idea. Forgot about mushrooms too, I could do a bunch of them with just little wads of greenstuff on a stick.
