Heard something about a 1000 point tournament night at FLGS. Anyone got any idea how this sort of list would fare? The Farseer can join any squad he chooses - his purpose is limited. Obviously I have problems with combat (invested a lot of points in Defend, and I think that'll be the first revision), but I have nice mobility and firepower.

do you think A Prism is useful in 1000 pts? I would drop that and the Runes on the Farseer give him a spear and take a wraithlord with EML and brightlance.


Without runes you only fail 1/12 rolls and decrease your chances of frying yourself.

You can fit a lot of Orks into a thousand points - that's the primary reasoning behind the Prism. BS 4 otherwise, they're reliable vs. vulnerable armour, and have great range. If anything I'd take off the fields.
I figure the Falcon's three S8 shots combined with the Dragons ought give me a shot vs. armour, terminators, large bugs, other tasty treats.

The runes were the last ten points - I originally had a spear on 'seer, but needed to shave. We agree on the spear

Wraithlord hurts mobility - he's a CC anvil but can't be where he's needed. I've never used defend before, but in this case I'll be relying on it pretty heavily.

I've considered dropping Bladestorm a lot, just to free up points. If I drop the runes I can swap out one Avenger's dual catapults and give him Shimmershield/Powerwep, to compliment the Farseer.
Alternatively I could drop all Defend/Bladestorm/holofield and take another basic seer.

Any thoughts on those?

Well, drop the runes and give the Falcon stones so that he can bring the FDs to their destination.
Drop the Falcon's bright lance since the FDs are already anti-tank.
Moreover, give the Falcon a holofield, while the Prism does not necessarily need it.
The DA squads do not need defend. Make sure that they cannot be charged by using fish of Serpent tactics.

Well, I'm about half an hour away from using this list. I've dropped defend, boosted seer to SS/Doom/Guide, and dropeed runes.

Swapped Holos over to Falcon... PUNCH!!!
Might have been worth swapping brightlance for EML, but we'll see. I'm expecting big bugs, and probably could have used a bit of scatterlaser investment.
