I posted it the same photos in the army blog section but got no comments / criticism

Wraithlord:

So thoughts on improvement? I think I am going to do lava bases, but I am worried it will take away from the red gems.

Yeah, those Gems are pretty nicely done. Photographing them in more diffused light would be better though; you're getting another white spot in addition to the one you painted, because of the light. Good stuff though.

Very nice work. Reminds me of the Revenant titan I painted for my Eldar waaay back in '98, except I had a much easier time on the gems, because they were bigger. Can't wait to see an entire army painted the same way.

I think the blue lens takes away more than a lava base does. At least the lava base would be in the same color family. I vote for a change away from blue. It's waaaaay too distracting to the eye without more blue to balance it out.

Still, very nieely painted. The old wraithlord can still hold his own.

I agree with cosmic. I'm not a fan of the blue, but the rest is great.

Chris,
Nice job on the wraithlord. I like the color scheme. The gems look great. Are you going to do something different with the bases? Your guardians look great as well. I have some dire avengers I'm not using you can have. Now you've got me wanting to post pics of my ork deff skulls.

looks good but as said before the blue is a bit distracting

ok so the blue lens is out, what color should it be? If I go red it will look just like the gems, and I don't think I want that.

Good work on the red BTW, and a nice smooth finish on the canopy. I personally like the blue.
