Right, this is pretty embarrassing but I thought someone out there could help.
I had my xbox replaced today and all was fine. When I switched it on the resolution was poor so I went to a screen, which I think was in settings, to ramp up the res. Unfotunately, I got too greedy, and the resolution I chose was too much for my PC screen ( I use a VGA cable ). Now all I have is a black screen. I know that I can move around because I can hear all the little clicks and bloops when I poke the buttons.
So...
If anyone out there is willing to help, please could they do the following!
I need someone to turn on their xbox and note down what buttons/directions they push to get to the settings screen, and from here to select the lowest value (something like 600x800?). Then I can key it in like like it's some sort of crazy password. It will restore my screen so I can see again!
I am using the new xbox live account service, and I am the only profile on there.
I think you begin by pressing the xbox button and then Y. I believe this gets you to the dashboard.
I know people will find this funny; I get the joke. But if anyone can spare 10 minutes I'll be forever thankful. I might even tell you a really bad joke by way of thanks.
Thanks for reading,
Anti-Mag.
