Eldrad 210

Maugan Ra 195

6 Harlequins 168
Shuriken pistols, kisses, shadowseer, death jester

10 Dire Avengers 152
Avenger shuriken catapults, Exarch: 2 shuriken catapults, bladestorm

3 Jetbikes 76
Twin-linked shuriken catapults, shuriken cannon

3 Jetbikes 76
Twin-linked shuriken catapults, shuriken cannon

5 Pathfinders 120
Ranger long rifles, shuriken pistols

Vyper 65
Twin-linked shuriken catapults, missile launcher

3 War Walkers 180
Twin-linked scatter lasers

Wraithlord 120
Shuriken catapult, flamer, shuriken cannon , scatter laser

Fire Prism 115
Prisim cannon, twin-linked shuriken catapults

Maugan Ra would go with the harlequins to prevent him getting shot and allowing the unit to shoot with him and the jester and being quite a beasty clsoe combat unit.

Eldrad would stay with the prism, walkers and possibly the wraithlord giving them guide/fortune acting as a firing base while the avengers would go through the terrain taking shots when they can along with the jet bikes to then capture the objectives leaving the pathfinders to pin enemy units i wish not to fight.

I have 23 points and I don't know where to put them also considering dropping the wraithlord for another prism (not sure) so any input would be great.

Thanks!

Your HQ choices are taking up way too much of your army. Seriously, 405 of 1500 in two models? Yes, Eldrad is great, but not in the context you currently have him. Maugan Ra can be beastly, but generally isn't enough that he doesn't die, especially in a small squad like that. Pick one or the other, not both. In this list, I wouldn't really suggest either, but I'd probably take Maugen Ra for two reasons: first, he's badass, second, he's not Eldrad. Eldrad really favors gunlines, which you don't really have much of.

Your troops choices are very weak. 10 walking Avengers, two squads of three bikers, and a minimal pathfinder unit? None of these will amount to doing much, and all die fairly easily. Small jetbike squads need a warlock with Embolden, Ld.8 isn't much fun to roll against when taking even a single casualty. They are practically fast marines with bad guns, not the hardest thing to kill, especially in squads of three.

While that single vyper is an annoyance, that's really all it is for 65 points. I'd drop it for now and figure out what to do with 65 points elsewhere.

What kind of role did you plan for your wraithlord, anti-infantry? First off, go with dual flamers. Twin-linked heavy flamers hurts much more than a single with a pistol. Second, your list is lacking terribly in anti-tank, why not put it where you can have a BS4 stupidly-hard-to-kill platform? Bright Lance and EML on this guy goes a long way.

Warwalkers don't twin-link their weaponry, you just get double the shots. Yes, that means 24 S6 36" range shots, always fun. The downside is that they are AV10 and awkwardly built so getting cover is rather difficult.

Naked Fire Prism? I like it. Cost effective and mean. My personal motto is "take three or none" but if you already have the wraithlord and warwalkers, those aren't bad choices either. As far as wraithlord vs. prism, just depends on your playstyle. I will say the Prisms are much scarier to most people with their 60" range and awesome weaponry.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Agreed. Some good choices in here, but mismatched.

Maugan loses a lot of effectiveness once in combat; he's good at it, but that's not what he's for. He can provide a mean combat character for a gunline army, when the gunline doesn't work out. A fully upgraded Harlequin squad need to be maxed out to be worth it (5+ save isn't much good, invul or not), and then the army may as well be combat oriented. I don't like harlequins myself, but if you have the models... Drop the jester and reinvest Maugan's points in something else.

Scatterwalkers are very gnarly when Guided, but are definitely fragile.

i think maugan ra can only attach to the dark reapers, maybe wrong about that.

Any IC can attach to any squad that isn't vehicular or monstrous.

Arctik makes good points about Maugan. One big issue with the Death Jester and Maugan Ra is that you'll want to shoot instead of fleeting towards the enemy to get into combat, something Harlequins are much better at doing.

Harlequins should always be fleeting considering they are running up the board. attach magan ra to the darkreapers to scare people from assaulting them.

That's much better. I'd say you made the right choice keeping Eldrad over Maugan Ra as your list fairly shooty but fragile, and two Fortunes and a Guide will make or break your game much more than more S6 shots and a bit more CC power. Not only that, but the psychic defense will make you much, much stronger vs. Lash.

I do think another pair of Warwalkers or another Wraithlord will be a lot more useful than the Prism, though. You really, really need more anti-tank fire (especially since you lack mobile short-range anti-tank troops), so I'd say a second Wraithlord is a good idea. 2 anti-tank shots (even at lowers strength) is much better than 1 that can be nullified by shaking and then ignoring the vehicle. Dropping a single Harlie and a Pathfinder would pay for the difference in price. Adding another Wraithlord will also up your counter-charge capacity for whenever CC troops close with you.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Ok thanks I will give the army a go and see how it works and if the prism doesn't do too good I will exchange it for one of your suggestions.

Any other advice is welcome.

I like this new list a lot better, but one thing I would change are the warwalkers for either another prism or another wraith lord.

This is just personal preference and experience of course.

I just started using wraithlords and their toughness 8 makes everyone pissed. When I used WW they got shaken or stunned the entire game and on a role of a 4 5 6 they got destroyed.

I sighed a lot when using WW.

good luck
