I am planning to play a game of Fantasy against high elves next week, so I am looking for tasctical advice on how to fight High elves (Seeing as GW so kindly removed the article from their website). This is the army list I plan to take.

Any tactical advice for fighting a high elf force of unknown composition or advice on army building for fighting the Elgi would be helpful

Shoot the swordmasters, they are brutal in combat but die very easily to shooting.

Watch for white lions as they are able to move through forests without penalty.

ASF should not be too much of an advantage to him as he should get off all the charges and you have lower initiative anyway.



You should burn in hell for taking 2 organ guns. :(

Also you need runes of spell breaking.
HEs have good magic and usually take 2 mages.

One of those guns is an Oran gun, WG, not an Organ gun.

Not sure why you posted this twice in two forums.. but as I said. You don't want a rune of burning against HE, incase you come up against some sneaky little long eared pansy in Dragon armour who is immune to flaming attacks...

Take 2 Organ guns because they are so effective at destroying anything.

Get rid of the rune of burning. if your Lord hits Dragon princes or any Character(becaue if you have a HE character and you DON'T give him Dragon armour you're an idiot) the lord is going to be usless. In my experience fighting dwarfs, take rune smiths to dispel and hope he doesn't use teclis. shoot the crap out of him. concider taking a gyrocopter to march block, and maybe drop your lord and a hero to take a rune lord with anvil. use the rune of rath and ruin to slow him down, use the gyrocopter and miners to slow him down, so most units are anly going to move 2.5 inches per turn(march blocking+rune of wrath and ruin cast with thorek on ancient power) then just shoot the crap out of them. that's your best shot. once he gets into combat, he is likley to tear you up.

This happened to me (actually in a game against Arion too)- my only shooting was with flaming attacks and so did nothing the entire game.

Ahh, yes I remember that game. I have a new list tonight though, and no it doesn't include Teclis.
