Hi,
I'll be adding to this thread as I progress..
Just started on this one, using a dreadnought as the body basis and Sentinel legs
The Scratchbuilt plasticard "Orkyness" has begun, Dremel cut armour plates and Grandt line bolts, and some cut with a punch and die set
He'll have some adapted Chaos Defiler arms/claws....and will be similar to a Gorilla in appearance, the gun under his gob is some kind of mortar
I'll be adding a lot to the legs to make them Orky, and a lot of other stuff...big ungainly engine/chimney setup at the rear of the body too...
What class would he come under for gaming ?
Thanks for looking

look'n good so far.
Looks a little funny though, at the moment. His legs are to scrany for his big-orkish body shell.

warboss in mega armor with cybork parts, and um, power claw.
or a deff dread.
i love the plasticard work, but the waist seems a bit too narrow for me. might look beter if you bulk out the leggs and waist with more plasticard work

Thre gun in the middle of where his chest would be stretches the imagination too far. Besides you will likely be better with two torso mounted guns ans leave the arms for choppy bits.

Da Deff Chicken? looking good I'd probably call it a Dread. If you think the legs look to scrawny what about adding another pair to make some sort of Quadruped? I ain't seen that done yet.

He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

I am a newcomer to actual gaming, for years I've dabbled with 40K but I'm in the process of learning the vast array of rules....it's a bit mind boggling for a 34 year old who failed maths at school ...but it's enjoyable....so yes, I will be making rules for him...
I think I'll join 2 sets of Sentinel legs together as a quick way to make them look sturdier then add the Ork armour...

I like the top part, but I dont think that adding more sentinal legs is the answer to the leg question. Look at all the ork models out there, large looming torsos, hunched shoulders, tiny legs. It doesnt look like an ork because the legs are too tall, you need to shorten them up abit. Fleshing(or metaling) them out isnt a bad idea, but you need to keep them to orky proportions.

See where the 'knee' (the zero) is? If you cut off everything to the left of that and use from the knee downward, the sentinel leg looks a lot more like a Dreadnought's stubby leg because it's straight, hydraulic and shorter than the whole sentinel leg.
You can attach the knee where you have the hip attached to the leg now. Just a thought.
