Hi. I am a pretty new player, and have a rules question. I was playing an older player at my neighborhood store a while back, and he plays Blood Angels. He said he had some rule that let him re-roll misses on some of his squads. I've searched the Blood Angels codex online, but cannot find anything that would do that except Litanies of Hate. However, he was using this on multiple squads, and I DO expressly remember him saying it was "not Litanies of Hate, but it works similarly on a greater range."

What the hell am I missing?

Dante's Favored Enemy most likely. If you do a search on GW's website for the Blood Angel codex pdf it should give you all the info you need. Welcome to 40k and Dakka.

Once upon a time, I told myself it's better to be smart than lucky. Every day, the world proves me wrong a little more.

It's the Inspiring rule on page 7: "if Dante is included in a
Blood Angels army, then any friendly unit of Blood Angels within 12" of him counts its opponents as a preferred enemy."

Also note he drops enemy WS by -1 and he has Rites of Battle.
