Ok, I was hoping to get some opinions. I just had a game with my nids and just got thrashed in a kill point mission against space marines. Looking back theres not much I would change. I had 2 terrible shooting phases which really didnt help my situation, but hey...thats just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. So I got to thinking, are nids at a seroius disadvantage in KP missions? I felt completely out of my depth the whole game (admittedly this was my first ever KP mission). Over to you guys...

Depends on whether you were playing a Swarm list (lots of units) or Nidzilla (lots of monsters). Swarm of course offers more kill points as there are more units to kill particularly if you have 'Without Number' on your Gaunts, which means your opponent can 'harvest' kill points by killing the 'Without Number' unit over and over again.

Not a major fan of Kill Points it has to be said. Don't know what was wrong with the old victory point method. Anybody care to enlighten me?

kill points were put in to stop people spamming loads of tiny units to capture/contest objectives given the changes to objective rules (ie the ability to capture/contest to the last man).

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

I had thought they were put in to help marine players win...

They were hard to track and players were prone to small but important mathematical mistakes in counting them? I wasn't a big fan of victory points, I'm also not a big fan of kill points.

I don't think killpoints should be the only victory condition in a scenario, armies are too hindered by their composition.

Do you remember that time that thing happened?
This is a bad thread and you should all feel bad
