So i have looked at the rules. And while entirely not clear I don't believe that a Soul Grinder can fire in the same turn that it deepstikes. The rules say that any vehicle that deep stikes counts as moving 12 inchs. So with that in mind space marine drop pods cannot fire either but niether can Soul Grinders. However most deamon players fire there walkers in the turn the land. According to the rules you can't. I have heard the argument that a drop pod poding dreadnought can but it is riding in a drop pod. What do you guys think?

walkers dont follow vehicle movement rules. they have no movement bands and move like infantry.

Vehicles are normally considered to be moving at cruising speed when they Deep Strike. Walkers follow the Infantry rules for moving, however, and those rules allow Infantry to shoot when they Deep Strike as if they had moved.

That is when the are getting out of a vehicle. Not deep strikeing by themselves.

It has nothing to do with how they deepstrike. Deepstriking in a Pod or by yourself... no difference in rules.

Infantry can shoot the turn they enter via deepstrike. Thus so can walkers.

This has been discussed several times here. The SG is a walker so it can shoot the same turn it arrives. Simple really.

walkers can move and fire all of their weapons, just like a stationary vehicle...

nowhere does it say "unless they moved at cruising speed". They count as stationary for the purpose of firing weapons, regardless of other considerations.

The Drop Pod has nothing to do with it, a unit inside a drop pod is deep striking just as much as the drop pod itself, the Deep Strike rules clearly refer to both infantry inside a transport vehicle and the vehicle itself as a deep striking unit.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Ok. I was just wondering.
