If you want to up this to 2000, then why dont you take more plague marines instead of CSM and then add more obliterators?
also, one thing to consider, if you are trying to get your greater daemon into CC, then you need a way to get an aspiring champion in close. Maybe get some rhinos for your troops?

The greater demon is costing you basically 165-175pts, the champ he kills is 15 or 23 + 15 + 25. There are probably better things to spend your points on at this level (another oblit? some rhino's for screening since you aren't using the standard lash princes)

Do your demon princes fly?

Checked the points cost, his Princes aren't flying.

I agree with the others that the greater daemon probably isn't worth the points, but it's probably in there for "fluffy" reasons.

I never run a prince without wings, I find the speed is needed for avoiding getting shot to death and eventually being able to get into action unhurt.

You could add more Plague marines with meltaguns and also more obliterators to up your points. Maybe put the Plague Marines in rhinos so that they can get onto objectives / hide behind rhino out of LoS later.

Mounting Death Guard can get very, very nasty especially if you end up with first turn.

You don't even need the oblits but I guess they couldn't hurt.

10 CSM plus icon of nurgle = 20 point CSM

23 points gets you feel no pain and fearlessness, and you can make up the points by not filling out the squads to full 10 men [no need, plaguemarines can get the special weapons without being max size].

Yeah, I bought the FW "Great Unclean One" to use as my Summoned Daemon so, it kinda needs to stay!

I'm converting the FW Plague Ogre models for my Obliterators and I'm working on the Dragon Ogre Shaggoth models for my 2 DP and really kinda wanted the whole army to footslog cause my Slaanesh Army is all mechanized....

I Would not object to taking all Plague Marine Squads over the CSM with Nurgle Mark.

Just so you know 10 CSM w/ Icon of Nurgle is 200 pts, and 20 CSM is 300 pts, quite a difference. Also every 10 man squad of any special CSM (NM, PM, KB) are only 30 pts more than a 10 man CSM squad with that icon.

Another note - I love the fluff of this army and would hate playing against it. However you do lack considerably in mobility. Winged DPs and maybe a Nurgle Bike squad or two could help. Just think, S6 bikes on either flank w/ 2 Mela Guns and an AC that might become a Greater Daemon. The threat potential of those two squads could defenitly pull fire away from you DPs and ensure that they also get into assault.

REPENT for tommorrow you DIE!!!!

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.
