Ok, For those that use or have them used against you I have a question...
On average, how many models are caught under these templates?
My friend tells me 4-6 for flamer and 2-4 for small blast. I don't ever seem to get that many models so I am wondering what everyone elses experiences are.
Please also tell me if you play a lot of hordes because that can skew the numbers a bit higher.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use a ton of small blasts and a few flamers. I average 3 to 5 on my small blasts and around 6 to 8 on my flamers. It's easy to turn a flamer so it will hit as many people in a squad as possible and when you place your templates you just have to look for the right spot. Lash helps too, it will make my numbers 6 to 7 for smalls and 10 for flamers. I only say 10 for flamers because I only ever get to hit 10 man squads with flamers for some reason.
