So I has my space marines finished.... maybe.
You tell me. I used a black wash on the first, and left the second batch alone. I am going for that grungy, city fight feel, if you can't tell from the bases. I am not sure if it looks better then the others though...

Unfortunately, the pics arn't too great for what I am trying to show.

1. Your paint looks really thick
2. Try using your black wash more sparingly over the white. It tends to make white look dirty and you're really only interested in shading the white where it meets other plates.
3. You would actually get better results by being more careful about how you paint the white, so that it doesn't actually hit the red and then using the flat part of a flat brush to get a really nice edge on the red.
