How does the figure size compare with GW figures?

1/48 scale weapons are tiny but could be replaced with third party SF weapons (e.g. Hasslefree.)

Very good article.

Clearly it would be possible to make an IG army using 1/48 scale figures. Put them on 3rd party bases such as Hasslefree or Litko. They will be a bit taller and a lot thinner than regular GW figures. Weapons would need be substituted with 3rd party weapons such as Hasslefree.

Alternatively, 28mm WW2 models are available which could be used with similar changes of weapons.
